Elder McKay Horsley

Hey everyone this is my first week in the MTC and it's been good so far! I love my district and my companions so it has been super good to see these guys in person. Monday and Tuesday: These days were pretty fun because they were my last 2 days in the home MTC, and they were P-day and a travel day so I got to do a ton of fun stuff with my family before I left. I went golfing with my dad and Calder and we all played pretty bad but it was still super fun. We also went to Maize tacos with some uncles and cousin-uncles for the last time to say goodbye, and that was sad, but it was great to be with everyone who came. Wednesday: Showed up to the MTC and got dropped off which was pretty brutal. It was super sad to say goodbye to everyone. I got to meet my district and branch though and they are all super fun. Hi everyone! Today I finished up at home MTC and am now headed to the provo MTC for the next 8 weeks. I feel like I don't have much to say about this week but I'll just hit some bullet points and call it good. - My district is super cool and I am stoked to meet them in person. - I was told I would have an advantage going into home MTC because of some Chinese experience in the past. Plot twist, I have none. - It was tough but it was good and I'm excited to be in person. - I'm in a trio with Elder Palmer and Elder Harding and they are super cool dudes. We're all so much better at different things though, so that's super helpful when I suck at something and Elder Palmer is amazing. - I got to go to the gym with my dad pretty much every morning this week, so that was sick. Anyways I'm excited to meet everyone in person and I'll try to write something with a little more detail next! - Elder Horsley
