"Spend it for Jesus"

Hey everyone, so just a quick little update on my end. I just got transferred back from Medicine Hat, and now I am back in Calgary. This time I am not in the Mandarin branch though, instead I am with Elder's Niutupuivaha and Cherry in South Calgary. It has been awesome with these guys, and I'm really stoked to be able to serve here. This past week we went on exchanges with Elders Smith and Fuller over in Okotoks. I'm fully aware that absolutely no one here knows where that is, except for Jarvis. So if in the off chance he actually reads these, I'm still including it. On exchanges we went to shovel this old German Ladys walk which was entirely gravel. So that took awhile, but we were happy to do it. We had heard that in the past she did not let missionaries go without taking money, which I was not going to do. So we shoveled her walk and laid down ice melt, and then went to the door to give her shovels back. She then proceeded to stick money out the door and start a heated argument on why we needed to take her money for like 5 minutes. She was persistent, and we eventually said we could take it and donate to the church. Her response was that we needed to spend it ourselves and then yelled, "SPEND IT FOR JESUS!" We eventually got her to give us half as much, and we would donate it, and we would come back for a message. So not that bad. Anyways I don't have a ton of time, but I just wanted to reach out and give an update. I was reading the scriptures and came across this: 11 For all have not every agift given unto them; for there are many gifts, and to every man is given a gift by the Spirit of God. I love this because a lot of times people are prone to thinking they are untalented and ungifted, but God gives us all gifts. Each and everyone. Love you all!!
